With events taking place throughout June, Dr Inga Thiemann co-organised a webinar series called “Moving beyond Covid?” together with the Moving Labour Collective. The webinar series was set against the backdrop of globally sharpening inequalities caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The series was delivered by academics and researchers from around the world with an aim to discuss a possibility of redistribution, possible political choices and the effect of the pandemic on the current status quo in the area.
The four theme-based webinars included:
- ‘The Challenges of Labour Through the Voice of Labour and Social Activists’ 8 June 2020
- ‘Social Reproduction in Times of COVID-19’ 15 June 2020
- ‘The Global Experience and Reaction to the Pandemic: a Preview of the Ecological Crisis? Reflections on Labour and the Environment’ 22 June 2020
- ‘Labour of Love? Cognitive workers, Academia and Covid-10: Reflection, Resistance’ 26 June 2020
